Listening and then typing requires the use of the tonal markers, which should be mentioned.

My keyboard does not have these and I need to copy them.

you don't need a different keyboard you just need to change the keyboard settings on your computer

Thomas is right! This reply might be a bit outdated, but I would recommend for anyone interested going into the language -> keyboard settings and selecting Vietnamese Telex. Going online, one can find the special sequences of keystrokes needed to make the Vietnamese characters appear. For instance, after switching the settings to Telex, the character "ũ" can be created by literally typing "ux". So if you wanted to write the word cũng you would literally type "cuxng" when Vietnamese Telex is active. It takes a long time to get used to just like any new language, but it's easier than using ascii or copy/paste in the long run. Cheers!

Annie's hand gestures make the lessons both fun and help me with the producing the tones! I also like that she says the words slow enough to produce each tone.
